No. Big Ambitions 1.0 does not include official multiplayer, online co-op, local co-op, or shared-company play. The current Steam feature list identifies the game as single-player and does not list any multiplayer feature.

The developer's position

Online co-op appeared in old community conversations as a hope or a “maybe,” not as a committed roadmap item. In a March 2025 Steam discussion, the developer account clarified that online co-op was never formally planned or cancelled and stated that Big Ambitions would not receive an official online mode.

That answer is consistent with the shipped 1.0 store listing. A future announcement could change product support, but there is no current official basis for promising co-op.

What “single-player” means here

  • One player controls the character, businesses, employees, vehicles, and time in a save.
  • Steam Cloud can synchronize saves between supported devices; it does not turn a save into a shared session.
  • Family Sharing is a Steam account-access feature, not simultaneous multiplayer.
  • Steam Workshop support allows mods and blueprints, but it does not add an official multiplayer service.

What about multiplayer mods?

The Big Ambitions Workshop contains community-created items, including projects that advertise multiplayer behavior. Those are third-party mods, not a mode shipped or supported by Hovgaard Games.

Before trying one:

  1. Confirm that the mod explicitly supports your installed Big Ambitions build.
  2. Read its dependency and host/client instructions on the Workshop page.
  3. Make a separate backup of the save you intend to use.
  4. Expect the mod to break after game updates or to behave differently from official single-player systems.
  5. Reproduce a problem without the mod before reporting it as a base-game bug.

This page does not certify any multiplayer mod as safe, stable, or compatible. If you only want officially supported play, the correct expectation for Big Ambitions 1.0 is single-player.
