To buy clothing stock in standard Big Ambitions 1.0 progression, import the cheap clothing variants through a Purchasing Agent at your HQ. The expensive clothing variants are factory products and will not appear as normal importer stock unless your custom-game settings allow all items to be imported.

Before placing an order

You need:

  • a Clothing Store with compatible Clothing Racks;
  • an HQ workstation and scheduled Purchasing Agent;
  • access to the current clothing importer;
  • a warehouse with storage, Logistics Manager, driver, and delivery vehicle; and
  • enough cash and capacity for the full order.

Search the exact item in F1 first. Clothing names distinguish Classic or Modern, Cheap or Expensive, and Male or Female; ordering one variant does not stock the others.

Import cheap clothing

  1. Open F1 and search the cheap clothing variant.
  2. Follow the current importer reference.
  3. Assign that importer to a Purchasing Agent in your HQ.
  4. Add the product to the order and choose your warehouse as destination.
  5. Enter units, observing the current minimum and weekly limit.
  6. Leave cash and empty warehouse storage available for processing.
  7. After delivery, set a warehouse target for the Clothing Store.
  8. Confirm stock reaches the store and a matching Clothing Rack.

The checked supplier index lists the four cheap Classic/Modern, Male/Female variants in the import system and warns that price changes with difficulty, agent skill, shortages, and backorders.

Produce expensive clothing

Under standard progression, build a factory for the expensive variants:

  1. import Expensive Fabric to the factory;
  2. install the machines and Clothing Workstation required by the current recipe;
  3. staff and schedule the production line;
  4. place accessible input and output storage;
  5. send finished clothing from factory to warehouse; and
  6. let the warehouse distribute it to the store.

The current recipe index uses Laser Cutting, Industrial Sewing, and Consumer Goods Assembly stages for expensive clothing. Exact throughput depends on the live recipe, worker skill, line balance, storage, and operating schedule.

Do not send factory output directly to the Clothing Store in the standard 1.0 logistics model; warehouses handle store distribution.

Custom-game exception

EA 0.9 added an option to allow all items to be imported, including premium goods that are factory-only in standard progression. If this setting is enabled, follow the live F1 supplier and catalog instead of building a factory solely because this guide describes the standard rules.

Put clothing on sale

The current goods index lists standard and angled Clothing Racks for clothing products. Check each rack's product and customer capacity before buying multiples.

At the store:

  1. place accessible racks;
  2. assign the correct product variant;
  3. ensure the store has stock and employee coverage;
  4. set prices from Insights and rival conditions; and
  5. raise warehouse targets only after observing actual sales.

Success means the exact product appears in store inventory, the rack holds it, customers can buy it, and the warehouse replenishes it without manual vehicle trips.

Common failures and recovery

  • No clothing at a wholesaler: expected after the supply rework; use the importer or factory route.
  • Only cheap variants appear: standard progression reserves expensive variants for factories.
  • Order is cancelled: check cash, importer rules, destination, and storage for the entire order.
  • Warehouse has stock but racks are empty: verify the store target, logistics staff, driver, vehicle, and rack compatibility.
  • Factory makes too little: inspect machine ratios, worker schedule, input supply, blocked outputs, and current recipe before duplicating the whole factory.
  • The store loses money: compare net margin after import/factory, warehouse, security, wages, and unsold inventory—not only retail price minus fabric.

If advice names a local wholesaler for every clothing type, it predates the current progression split. Use the live catalog as the deciding source.
