Big Ambitions 1.0 released on August 28, 2026 for Windows and macOS. March 10, 2023 was the start of Steam Early Access. The full release expands where you can live, adds personal services, and changes several business-management systems.

This guide covers the launch update. For later repairs, continue to our post-launch patch notes.

What arrived with version 1.0

The official release overview identifies these additions.

AdditionWhat you can do
The HamptonsExplore the new neighborhood and own a private mansion.
Private DriverArrange a chauffeur for personal travel.
Food deliveryOrder meals or take delivery work.
HQ Pricing ManagerManage prices through a dedicated employee.
Banking updateUse revised loan, investment, and tax systems.
MinigamesTake part in new activities outside your businesses.

The launch announcement calls The Hamptons the seventh neighborhood. It includes a retail strip as well as homes, and the release adds furniture for properties and businesses.

For a new save, our beginner guide remains the starting point. Treat a mansion or chauffeur as a separate spending decision after checking your operating cash; neither is a substitute for a stocked, staffed first store.

Private Driver, food delivery, and pricing

To use a Private Driver, arrange a contract with Onyx Luxury Chauffeurs and leave your chosen vehicle in its garage. You can then summon the driver. The service accepts an existing vehicle; the exclusive limousine is optional.

Speedy Bites delivers food to homes and businesses and offers delivery work. The HQ Pricing Manager changes item prices across a neighborhood; higher skill adds daily price suggestions.

Keep the two delivery systems separate when troubleshooting: food orders are not warehouse supply routes. For stores running out of inventory, follow the warehouse requirements and no-delivery checklist.

Banking and business changes to review

Negative interest was removed. Loans have stricter income requirements, higher interest and minimum daily payments, but support partial repayment. Investments allow daily automatic deposits and partial withdrawals. EconoView now includes tax information, and overdue taxes carry a 10% fee.

Review these figures before borrowing for an expansion. An older guide's repayment example may no longer fit your save. Compare the proposed daily payment with the cash you need for wages, rent, and stock instead of treating the maximum loan as your spending budget.

Other changes include reorderable logistics lists, storage shelves in warehouses and factories, and energy draining faster when hunger and happiness are low. The new minigames are Brick Breaker, golf, and tennis; the latter two require a Hamptons home.

Launch content versus the first repair patch

The August 28 release announcement links to the August 14 feature breakdown as its detailed changelog. Those dates describe the announcement sequence, not two different full releases. Hovgaard Games also confirmed that work would continue after launch.

On September 1, Build 3672/3674 addressed launch-era bugs. Build 3672 included Hamptons retail availability and vehicle fixes. The 3674 hotfix repaired an employee-quitting failure that could interrupt training, imports, and deliveries. The developer says affected systems should recover as you continue into the next in-game day.

The September 1 post also said FPS drops and choppy gameplay were still being investigated. Do not assume that installing that patch resolves every performance problem. Our check on September 8, 2026 found this to be the newest post in the official announcement feed.

Use the update history to match a fix to your build, the mods guide when workshop content is involved, and the roadmap for confirmed future plans.
